Description The January 2000 North American blizzard was one of the most powerful winter storms on record in parts of North Carolina. The storm hit Central Virginia on January 25, 2000 causing thousands of power outages within the area leaving 11 inches in Richmond, VA and 20.3 inches in Raleigh-Durham International Airport before moving out to the Atlantic.

People You Remember Walt Gay, Fred Dupee, Ray Mullett, Norm Cote, Ray Legendra, CPT Colbern, Ray Gagne, Harold Boudreau, Gene Tangway, Gene Bloodgood and Con Guay, Lue Lessard, and many other soldiers of Co B 133rd Engr Bn (CBT)(Hv) Saco, Maine. Were involved in the Big Blizzard of Dec 1978 All along the Maine Coastal and many Houses and bulding and roads were destroyed. to enclude the Pier at Old Orchard Beach, Maine we were on duty for 12 days activated by the State of Maine.
Memories I rember all of friends, and we all worked very hard to help the people of maine at Old Orchard Beach, Camp Ellis, Maine, all along the Maine coastal part of Maine. The Memories we good and bad but we did the job to the best of are ablity.
