Commissioned into Coast Artillery Corps in Sep 1910.
Transferred to Ordnance Corps July 1920.
Helped develop the ENIAC Computer system during World War II.
Went to the ETO in early 1945 to personnally supervise the delivery and use of the new M26 Sherman tank, which he helped develop.
