Last Known Activity:

MG Gasser served in the Spanish American War (Cuba), Philippine Insurrection, WWI (France) and WWII (CONUS).

He retired in May 1940; but was recalled to active duty to be the Chair of the War Department Manpower Board.  He served as Chair from 1941 - 1945.
