Enlisted Nov 1914 to June 1917.
Commissioned June 1917 as 2LT of Infantry.

BG Cooke was awarded two Silver Star Citations (later converted to Silver Star Medals) and a Wound Stripe (later converted to Purple Heart) for gallantry and wounds sustained during World War I.

Tranferred from Infantry to Inspector General Corps in June 1939.
Retired Oct 1950.
