Other Memories
While serving as CO of the 2nd ABG, 82nd Airborne (organized under the "Pentomic" Division concept) LTC Kennedy was alerted twice to be prepared to conduct a combat jump, first during the Berlin Crisis in August 1961 and also during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962.
