Other Memories
Due to post-war cutbacks Kennedy was reduced from his temporary wartime rank of Major to his permanent rank of Captain in March 1946. He was then reassigned from the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg to the U.S. Army Infantry Center and School at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he served as an Instructor for the next two years.
