Best Friends I got to Korea on August 4th 1950 and turned 17 the next day. A kid from south west Georgia who had never seen snow, well I saw enought snow the winter of 1950 to last a life time, living in a hole in the ground and 20 below was enought for me. I was back there in 1969 as the First Sgt of A co. 38th Inf 2nd Inf Div. I got of the Eng and went to Inf where all I had was to fight, in the Eng we had fight and work, some times out in front the Inf. We only had 27 miles call the Pusan Perimeter before bing pushed into the sea..
Best Moment Orders going home.
Worst Moment Sleeping in a hole in the groung with the timp at 20 below.
