Last Known Activity:
George was born in New York but lived most of his life in the South Dade area of Florida. He served in the US Army, 1st Cavalry Division during WWII where he saw action in the Phillipines, Leyte and various other foreign countries. After being honorably discharged from the US Army, George re-enlisted in the US Navy which he was also honorably discharged from. George and his father, Kendal Harold Brown, both served in WWII at the same time; George in the Army and his father in the Navy. He is survived by 2 brothers, Richard and Harold Brown, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Brown and many loving nieces and nephews. He had 2 daughters, Diane and Cheryl, from a marriage in the 1940's. Their mother moved to California after the divorce and despite many efforts to locate his daughters, he never saw or heard from them again.
He suffered a stroke in about 1990 and was left unable to speak or communicate. His neice, Annie Hicks, spent many years caring for him and seeing that his needs were met. He will be missed by all.
POST SCRIPT: His daughters have been located and have been told all about their father. I know he is finally at peace, knowing that his daughters know that he did not forget them and never stopped loving them.
