T/5 CARL GOODING WAS A COAL MINER BEFORE ENLISTING IN THE U.S. ARMY N 1 JULY 1942. HIS OVERSEAS SERVICE SERVICE BEGAN AFTER ARRIVING IN NORTH AFRICA ON 13 APRL 1943 (UNKNOWN UNIT) AND ENDED ON 22 SEPTEMBER 1945 IN GERMANY AT WHICH TIME HE WAS SERVING WITH COMPANY A, 422ND INFANTRY REGIMENT, 106TH INFANTRY DIVISION. ON 8 OCTOBER 1945 T/5 GOODING AS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE, MARYLAND. CARL W. GOODING PASSED AWAY IN KENTUCKY ON 28 JUNE 1972.
