PFC GEORGE BELINC JR. WAS BORN IN GERMANY ON 9 FEBRUARY 1911 AND IMMIGARTED TO DAVIS, WEST VIRGINIA IN 1913. HE AS THE SON OF GEORGE SR. AND JOANNA LOSCAR BELINC. BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 11 MAY 1942 HE WORKED AS A LOADER OPERATOR MOST LIKELY AT THE COAL MINES NEAR HIS HOME IN DAVIS. HE SERVED IN EUROPE WITH BATTERY A, 446THANTI-AIRCRAFT ARTILLERY (AUTOMATIC WEAPONS) BATTALION FROM 11 OCTOBER 1944 TO 21 DECEMBER 1945. ON 26 DECEMBER 1945 GEORGE BELINC WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE, MARYAND. GEORGE DIED IN KEARNEYSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA ON 12 APRIL 1991.
