James V. Avona, 86, of Girard, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at his home.He was born December 18, 1915 in Albert, W. Va. to Egnots and Rosa Parrie Avona.James was employed by Conrail Rail Road of Youngstown as a conductor.He retired in 1980 after 30 years of service.He was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of St. Rose Church and a member of U.T.U. Trainmen Association.He leaves his wife, Eleanor Chechitelli, whom he married June 22, 1941.
