Enlisted 4-30-42.
He trained with 87th Mountain Battalion (ski troopers), which in 1942 was expanded to Regiment and trained at Fort Hale, Colorado, as part of the 10th Mountain Division.
On 29 Jukly 1943 the regiment made an amphibious assault on Japanese held Kiska Islands, Aleutian Chain, Alaska. By December 1943 the campaign had successfully cncluded and the regiment rejoined the 10th Division at Camp Hale for more ski and mountain training.
On 28 January1945 the Division became a part of the 5th Army, and fought thereafter in Italy.
After the war the division was on occupation duty until August 1945.
The division was deactivated at Camp Hale on 5 Novembe 1945, and T4 Bugg was honorably discharged.
Discharged Nov 6, 1945
After the war he became a motorycle officer for the New Mexico State Police and died in a motorcycle accident on Aug 21, 1946.
