Last Known Activity:

Probably the only US Army officer to command both an Armored Regiment and an Infantry Regiment, in battle, during World War Two.
Wrote a published book, "Combat Soldier", in 1968.
One of the very few US Army Generals who did not attend neither the CGSC nor the Army War College.
