Chanel Barber, Great Neice. I used to live in Washington DC and every time I visited the wall I always either took a picture or got Uncle Melvin's name traced. We just recently had a family reunion and everyone shared old photos of different family members. This current photo is of Uncle Melvin and his daughter. Oct 26, 2011.
Smoke Miller. Friend, Ocala Fl 34473. Never Forget. Mel, Today I visited the traveling wall here in Fl. I looked up your name and traced it again. I will never forget you and the good times we had together in the Army. Rest well, my friend. Smoke D-1243. Dec 6, 2008.

POSTED ON 7.8.2004. POSTED BY: CHRIS SPENCER. NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER. It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
