BG Barrett was Department Head and Professor of Modern Languages at USMA from April 1947 thru June 1963. 

He was Commanding Officer, 84th DIVARTY from October 1944 - May 1945 in the ETO. 

He was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in June 1922.

He transferred to Field Artillery in June 1924.

He passed away in 1963.
