TECHNICIAN THIRD GRADE WILLIAM E. COFFMAN WAS IN HIS SECOND YEAR OF COLLEGE BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 27 FEBRUARY 1943. HE SERVED WITH THE MEDICAL DETACHMENT, 136TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 33RD INFANTRY DIVISION FROM 15 JULY 1943 TO DECEMBER 1945. AFTER RETURNING TO THE U.S. T/3 COFFMAN WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 11 JANUARY 1946 AT CAMP ATTERBURY INDIANA. WILLIAM COFFMAN PASSED AWAY IN JUNE 1984 AT BALLWIN MISSOURI.
