Cpt Miller was posthumously promoted to Major. As evidenced by his noted call sign (Cobra 6) he would have been the Platoon Leader of the Cobra gunship platoon. However, he was not flying a Cobra gunship, but a regular Huey gunship as evidenced by the attached eyewitness account of the incident.
