TECHNICIAN FIFTH GRADE HARRY PAUL KISAMORE WAS A FARMER BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 20 NOVEMBER 1943. HE SERVED IN EUROPE WITH COMPANY "A" 279TH ENGINEER COMBAT BATTALION FROM 10 OCTOBER 1944 TO 27 OCTOBER 1945. T/5 KISAMORE WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 11 NOVEMBER 1945 AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND.
He was born at Whites Run, Pendleton County, a son of the late Ohley and Texie Kisamore. On Feb. 3, 1946, at Porterwood, he was married to the former Helen Propst Kisamore who survives at Porterwood.
Also surviving are one son, Richard Lane Kisamore and wife Mary Grace of Livingston, La.; two daughters, Madonna Lynn Davis and husband Lennie of Belington and Deborah Kay Miller and husband James of Texas Mt.; one brother Ernest Kisamore of Charleston; five grandchildren, Robert Lance Kisamore and wife Patricia, Eric L. Davis, Brian P. Davis, Jeffrey D. Miller and wife Colette and Travis Lee Miller; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were one brother, Warren G. Kisamore; and one sister, Ollie Lucille Blosser.
He attended the schools of Tucker County. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, and served in Germany in the Engineer Corp. He helped start and was supervisor at Kingsford Charcoal Plant at Parsons. He was a former employee of R.H. Armstrong Construction Co., the former Parsons Tannery and Hinchcliff Lumber Co. He served as Superintendent of Tucker County Division of Highways until his retirement.
Laid to rest at the Parsons City Cemetery in Parsons West Virginia.
