STAFF SERGEANT HERBERT W. MOORE WAS A LAND SURVEYOR PRIOR TO HIS ENLISTMENT ON 26 NOVEMBER 1940. HE SERVED IN THE PACIFIC AS A SQUAD LEADER WITH COMPANY "A" 307TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 77TH INFANTRY DIVISION FROM 31 MARCH 1944 TO 9 SEPTEMBER 1945. S/SGT MOORE WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 5 OCTOBER 1945 AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND. HERBERT MOORE PASSED AWAY ON 11 DECEMBER 2006 IN ROCKVILLE MARYLAND.
