SGT McDONALD IS IN THE CENTER OF THE ABOVE PHOTO LEANING FORWARD
SERGEANT LLOYD RAY McDONALD PRE-WAR EMPLOYMENT IS LISTED AS "STOCKER" LIVING IN BESSEMER, PA BEFORE HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE ARMY ON 5 JUNE 1942. HE WAS THE SON OF JAMES W AND MARY ELIZABETH (PHILLIPS) McDONALD FROM PARSONS WEST VIRGINIA. HE SERVED IN EUROPE WITH THE 108TH QUARTER MASTER BAKERY COMPANY FROM 24 APRIL 1943 TO 19 JUNE 1945. SGT McDONALD PASSED AWAY IN PARSONS ON 18 OCTOBER 1970 AND WAS LAID TO REST AT THE PIFER MOUNTAIN CEMETERY NEAR PARSONS.
