STAFF SERGEANT DARIS THORNTON COSNER WAS EMPLOYED AS A CARPENTER BEFIRE HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE ARMY ON 22 APRIL 1941. HE SERVED IN ALASKA WITH THE ANTI TANK COMPANY OF THE 201ST INFANTRY REGIMENT FROM 12 SEPTEMBER 1941 TO 2 APRIL 1944. HE WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 4 JULY 1945.  S/SGT COSNER PASSED AWAY IN MOUNDSVILLE WEST VIRGINIA 16 APRIL 2006.
