He was in charge of all Japanese Internment Camps and German POW Camps in CONUS during World War Two.
Served as the US Army's first permanent Provost Marshal General. He turned the Office of the Provost Marshal into a post - war organization with charge over US Army military investigations, the Military Police and the US Army MP School.
From 1960 - 1965, he served as the first president of the Nassau Community College in Long Island, NY.
