The 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry (Armored Cavalry) Regiment [1st Regiment of Dragoons] was a separate armored cavalry squadron attached to U.S. Army, Pacific (USARPAC) from the 2nd Armored Division. Squadron personnel were entitled to wear the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 2nd Armored Division; according to Vietnam Order of Battle by Stanton, pages 124-125. During August 1968 the 2nd Squadron 1st Cavalry Regiment was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division, out of Pleiku, RVN. No indications of a location were the Squadron was operating from.
