Percy Jones Army Hospital, Battle Creek, MI
The Percy Jones Army Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan, formerly the Battle Creek Sanitarium, was purchased by the United States Army in 1942 and converted into a 1,500-bed military hospital for treating soldiers wounded in World War II. The Army continued to operate the hospital through the Korean War until the buildings were placed under the control of the General Services Administration in 1954.
