SFC Granville Houston Hutchison was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 12, 1924.  He joined the Army on March 12, 1943 enlisting in Richmond, Virginia.  So far, I have not determined the Theator of Operations he served in WW II.  However, I am incontact with his son and he is providing more and more info dealing with his father's service.  So, updates should be forthcoming.  So far, research has given us his father and mother as: Walter Lewis Hutchison (1887 - 1938) and Grace Ethel Knight (1892 - 1947).  His siblings are: Forest Lewis Hutchison, Hilton Hutchison, James Hutchison, Wallace Hutchison, Bernard Pleasant Hucthison and Gladis Hucthison who married Herbert Sears.  Granville's SSN was 229-12-7304 Virginia (before 1951).   As far as I can detemine at present, his last duty station was with the 25th Reconnaissance Company (in the Scout Section)  of the 25th Infantry Division.  He was the Scout Section Leader.

Recent contact from his son reveals his father served in the European Theather of Operations with the 86th Infantry Division, 341st Infantry Regiment, Hotel Company in the Heavy Weapons Platoon as a Motorman.  He also indicates that his father was wounded on April 14, 1945.
