Other Comments:

Roy was a friend of mine while a member of VFW Post 7952 Richland Washington.  He was a  good man.
He was also a Past Commander of The Sunnyside Washington VFW.  Roy held several VFW officer positions over the years and served in the Honor Guard.

Roy had a "scrape book" that he was very proud of:  It contained articles and pictures from his day's in the Army and especially interesting was the material he had collected while in Czechoslovakia at the end of WWII.  He was very proud of the fact that he'd served as a machine-gunner and got the "opportunity" to shoot at some Nazi snipers as his unit was traveling through Czechoslovakia.
