A former resident of Fairfax, VA, he attended Shadyside High School in Ohio, where he was a competitive athlete, Co-captain of the football team, and senior class president.

Husband 58 years of Dorothy Virginia (Burton) Blazy.

He is also survived by their six children, Patricia Lynn Fitch and Louis Joseph Blazy III, both of Virginia, Cheryl Denise Marsh of Indiana, Mark Edward Blazy of New Jersey, Burton Randolph Blazy of California, Gregory Stephen Blazy of Ohio; grandchildren, Lt. Damian Blazy, U.S. Navy, Christopher Blazy, Rochelle Gill and her husband, Marsh Gill, Jaclyn Blazy, and Miranda, Joel, Andrew, Morgan, & Madeline Blazy; great-grandchild, Callay Denise Gill.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Tecumseh Blazy; his parents, Louis Joseph Blazy, Sr. & Anna Madeline (Vilcheck) Blazy, and brother, James Robert Blazy, Sr.
