My grandfather was very into wood carving. I think his favorite was birds. He also did spoons, forks, facial profiles, and others. In addition to carving birds, he also painted them.

Other Memories Elements of the 197th Coast Artillary (AA) became several units, such as, HHB of 1st Battalion, became the 744th Coast Artillary, and 2nd Battalion (Roger's batt.) became the 210th. After the war they would form back up into the 197th.
