There was a lot of interest in the life of Robert Sherman Montgomery from my family. I’ve gathered as much information as I could find on him to included some hometown newspaper clippings, a post card and an excerpt from the New Times article, circa September 1918, about the Battle of Chateau Thierry. I was very surprised, and proud to find that both Great Uncle Sherman and I served in the same combat unit, 4th ID, just ninety years apart. {SFC John Hernandez}
