Reorganized and redesignated 28 July 1950 as 89th Medium Tank Battalion. Activated 7 August 1950 in Korea. Redesignated 14 November 1951 as 89th Tank Battalion and assigned to 25th Infantry Division. Inactivated 1 February 1957 in Hawaii and relieved from assignment to 25th Infantry Division.
