N/A 		In July, 1968 a U.S. Army Security Agency (USASA) Provisional Command was established at Augsburg and a cadre assigned. U.S. Army Security Agency Field Station (USASAFS) Augsburg was officially established on April 14, 1970 with an initial strength of 68 personnel and five companies: A, B, C, D & E Companies. Formal activation of USASAFS Augsburg took place on January 12, 1972 when mission operations commenced.
