Here I sit, fat and happy, at the C-Team awaiting my assignment. Within a few dyas I got my assignment: the NVA had attacked a major outpost at A-102, Tien Phuc. Three sergeants and I were rushed out to the hill to prevent it from being taken. I took on the title of XO, even though there was one at the main camp.
Yes, that is an old M-1 Rifle to my right and the barrel of an M-2 Carbine behind my chair. My roommate and I had not yet received our M-16s.
