Some troops take a break after inventorying all the trucks, truck parts and the many 55-gallon cans of gasoline.
When we left the area, we blow up 19 unserviceable trucks, all the spare parts and gasoline. 12 trucks that could drive were taken back to the nearby fire base. Helicopter support flew overhead all the way.
Two of the trucks were used for a few days to cart around our heavy gear.
It was a touch of the good life as we trudged forward with nothing on our backs in our quest for finding the enemy and his caches. We blew up the trucks when we were pulled from that area.
