Taking a break from my duties as the assistant S-3. Our boss was Col. Robert "Barbwire" Kingston, who later rose to the rank of four-star general.
He was a tough but lovable old warrior who nicely earned the title WAR LORD.
My immidate boss in the operations shop was Henry Hugh Shelton who later served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1997 to 2001.
