True Oakridge Warrior.
FSG Maximo Yabes was the kind of guy John Wayne lusted to be like. Who could possibly ask more from a first shirt? He looked after his "kids" like no other. The city of Oakridge, Oregon and the state Department of Transportation have erected a bust, a plaque and a flagpole in his honor. This is at a rest stop on the east edge of this small Cascade Mountains community. In my opinion they should have renamed the town after him.
