Have great respect for the few U.S. Army LRP squad leaders. A former college fellow I knew (at Murray State University, Murray, KY), 1969-71, was a Army Captain LRP team leader. His name is Charles Craig. If you happened to know him, let me know. Since I was in the initial 11th Air Assault Division (Ft. Benning, GA) he opened up to me and shared several stories. LRP was extreme duty to say the least. Proud to say that my son-in-law is a CWO3, Blackhawk pilot and served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hooah!
