After being in Cambodia for a 62 DAY PATROL, the higher ups gave us some time off. We pulled PALACE GUARD at Quan Loi. Our only duty was to provide GREENLINE SECURITY for the firebase. For some reason I have only a couple of pictures from this detail. In this picture you will see a Duece and a half backed up to the wire. It seems that we were taking sniper fire in the evenings. This truck had a "QUAD FIFTY" mounted in the back of it. That evening as the familiar crack of an AK was heard, MR. QUAD FIFTY opened up and moved the entire tree line back 50 yards or so......Never heard from the sniper after that!
