After being mobilized for Operation Joint Endeavor/Joint Guard; I was volunteered (since my records had me taking German classes in college) to be a liaison officer to the Germans. I ended up with a German Airborne Reserve Unit-262 Anti-Tank Battalion (Airborne). Ergo, I got my wings and improved my German (I made a C in college).
