The Pike Family held it's annual New Year's Day Reunion at the Pavilion Fire Hall, Pavilion NY, which turned out to be my father's last. He insisted on getting a family photo, taken by my then-fiance and professional photographer, Carrie Ann Grippo. My father, the former Army Staff Sergeant, "gathered the troops" and Carrie Ann was able to set the timer on her camera to capture this great family photo. It wasn't easy, but my father got his picture. I don't know if he knew it would be his last, but I'm glad he demanded it.
