2nd Lt William P. Wall was one of 8 men killed during a combat assault into an area approximately 24 miles west of Hue City, Vietnam, on 01 Apr 1970.
At the time, 2LT Wall was assigned to B Battery, 2nd Bn, 319th Artillery, but was serving as an artillery Forward Observer with B Company, 2nd Bn, 506th Infantry. His gravemarker incorrectly gives the unit of attachment "Co B 506 Inf" rather than his actual unit of assignment.
Known personal awards include the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
