The AEA is a non-profit organization which supports the Army Corps of Engineers total family of Soldiers and Civilians, with programs and services not available elsewhere.
The primary role of the AEA is to promote all aspects of Army Engineering, throughout history, in its multiple missions of national defense, nation-building and humanitarian support. This encompasses all military and civil works responsibilities of U.S. Army engineer troop units and the Corps of Engineers.
The AEA’s focus is on the history, customs and traditions of Army Engineering, while keeping a keen eye on present day developments, and projecting Army engineering influences into the future.
It is recognized by the AEA that the unique and valuable partnering relationship between the Army Corps of Engineers and industry has been a major contributor to numerous successes. As such, the AEA executes several unique programs which serve to better solidify that relationship.
In summary, throughout history military and civilian Army Engineers have made significant contributions to the defense and development of the United States of America and other nations of the world. In that spirit, the AEA represents and promotes the past, present and future of engineering within the United States Army. The AEA has a variety of programs to support the Army and its military and civilian engineers.
