My first husband, the father of my children was drafted after graduating high school. His name was Leslie B Arbuckle. He served in Vietnam September 1968-October 1969, Delta Troop, 3/17 Air Calvary in the communication group. His rank was SP4. We had a son in1973 who was named after one of the guys Leslie served with, his name was Russell. I never knew his last name but have always been curious to know more about him. There is a website bluetigersite.com that has a book of his group submitted by LTC (retired) William Condos. Leslie died in November 1975 by suicide. I now believe it was post traumatic stress. His daughter and son missed growing up with their father, but I know he would be proud of them.
