I was Roy's medic and was there when he exited the helicopter and before he stepped on the land mine which killed him while on a Search and Destroy mission. He was well liked and can still remember him writing letters home whenever he got the chance. 'Doc' Hernandez

TO ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS
HE WAS THE NICEST GUY YOU COULD EVER MEET IN YOUR LIFE. We went to High School together and College.
Will never forget our visit two weeks before he shipped to Vietnam. A true friend I will always miss.

Roy Green, always respected as a leader
Roy Green, was always looked up to as a leader, in the Sea Scouts, where we became such good friends, in the early 1960's. We all felt Roy, would be one of the most successful, as he excelled, at everything. Such a tragic loss, of a good man, with so much character and integrity. I still think of you, frequently and wonder how successful, you would have been. You had a lot of friends, who never had the opportunity, to get to know you.
