He was in the Boy Scouts, loved to hunt, learned to drive a jeep at military school - Miller School of Albemarle, and graduated from Parry McCluer High School. Went into the Army, First Infantry (Big Red One). He learned to drive a personnel carrier which he was driving on May 4, 1968, at the time of his death. A son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone.
