William Blenkinsop, 19, Bayview Idaho was killed in action 29 Aug 1970 while serving as a U.S. Army Paratrooper in Vietnam. The Army reported Monday Pfc Blenkinsop, who graduated from Couer D' Alene High School in Idaho, died as a result of a field accident involving an enemy ground explosion, an Army spokesman said. He had served 39 days with the Headquarters Company, 173rd Airborne Brigade. The body was flown from Vietnam to the Walker Funeral Home, McHall, for the funeral with services planned Wednesday.
