AMERICAN "HERO", you gave everything including your life, REST IN PEACE. Posted on 7/7/16 - by Donald Rice, served with him in 173rdABD(2nd/503rdInf) on Okinawa &Vietnam. Served with him in the 2nd/503rdInf. 2020 Curve Crest Blvd. W. Stillwater MN 55082. A fine and brave officer

I served in the 173rdABN Brigade(2nd/503rdInf)on Okinawa and in Vietnam with Captain Zinn. He was a fine officer and a brave and good man. I and seven other troopers in my platoon had the sad task of carrying Captain Zinn and SSGT. Howard out of the jungle to a distant LZ on that sad day long ago. We were all honored to have served with such a fine man and there are not too many days that pass when I do not recall that sad day and think of the loss suffered by his family and friends. Blessings to those he left behind. Rest in Peace "HERO" Rest in Peace
