DEAR UNCLE MIKE, ALTHOUGH I WASN'T LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE MET YOU, I HAVE HEARD HOW SPECIAL YOU WERE. I THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU HAD SACRIFICED FOR EVERYONE. YOU ARE VERY MUCH MISSED AND LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW YOU AND EVEN THOSE WHO ONLY KNOW YOU THROUGH THE SACRED MEMORIES KEPT BY LOVED ONES. GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL. LOVE YOUR NIECE, SUZANNAH

I'll never forget: Today is Memorial Day, everyday is Memorial day for me. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Zurbie. Mike was honest as the day is long, loyal, loving, good looking, a good basketball player, extra smart and the best friend a guy could have. I miss him every single day and this is my first chance to tell some one else what a special person he was. Mike and I were in Vietnam at the same time and the only person I would write and tell what was really going on was Zurbie. When my last letter to him came back, I was devastated, it changed me, for the better. I try as hard as I can to live my life as Michael would have, not perfectly but I try. The world is a better place because Michael Zibura passed through it.
