Last Known Activity
Corporal Fred Ash entered the Army on 3 August 1939 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

In the Philippines, he served as an infantryman, and was assigned with the 1st Provisional Military Police Company.

He died while being held as a POW by Japanese Forces at Camp O'Donnel, Luzon, Philippines.

He was reinterred in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, Plot: BC section # 167 in 1948.
