NVJust wondered what ever happened to you. Now I know! You were always one of only a very few officers that I looked up to and respected and admired. You always conducted yourself like the professional you were. I will always be proud to have known and served with you. God Bless you and may you always Rest in Peace!

A Real Role Model
In 1962 you taught me and my brother Steve how to build a ferris wheel from Tinker Toys. I always looked up to you and was so proud when you graduated from West Point. My dad wanted me to be just like you. I remember watching you play baseball while at Parkview with my future coach, Spunky Turner. Our world needs many more Kirby Wilcox's. Can't wait to meet up with you in Heaven

Connection to Kirby Wilcox from an active duty Army officer
Posted for: CHARLES KIRBY WILCOX:
I feel connected to Kirby Wilcox a couple of ways. It was the Legion post of his name which sent me to MO Boys' State. This in turn helped get me into West Point. Second, my dad was in ROTC with him at SW MO St.

 The Last Time We Met
Posted for: CHARLES KIRBY WILCOX:
Kirby and I served in the 1st Cav in similar positions. Late in '67, we were briefly in An Khe at the same time, and stayed up late talking of children. Early AM, we both caught flights back to units. Have always remembered and mark 9 Jan, each year.
