Last Known Activity
While serving as an Officer of Engineers with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in the Republic of Vietnam, he and his replacement died in a helicopter crash on 27 June 1970.

Captain Walters was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, Plot: Sec: 46, Site: 366-9.
